Dr. David Wiley, Chief Academic Officer of Lumen Learning and the Education Fellow at Creative Commons, will offer the keynote address and an interactive workshop at CLT’s 2017 Faculty Summer Institute. Lumen Learning is an organization that works to improve the affordability of education through the adoption of open educational resources.
Dr. Wiley has been called “one of America’s most innovative thinkers on the future of learning.” He received a National Science Foundation CAREER Grant, and is both a Nonresident Fellow in the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School, and a Shuttleworth Fellow. In 2009, Fast Company named Dr. Wiley one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business.
He is also adjunct faculty (previously a tenured Associate Professor) in Brigham Young University’s Graduate program in Instructional Psychology and Technology, where he founded the Open Education Group.
